A hanging planter that is functional but still sleek and modern was the goal in mind for designing Bobbin. We went with clay for the material because the matte finish would hit that contemporary vibe we were going for, and plants love a clay pot. We added a high gloss finish on the bottom, in a diagonal pattern, and we're happy to see that doing so added a warmth to the look which makes it appealing to more than just the lover of minimalism. Bobbin works in a Cape Cod beach home just as easily, whether you go with a white on white or the charcoal black, the pale grey or the warm blue.
Added plus! If you're a lover of plants that are on the pet toxic list, you can now get them in your house and up and away from your fur babies.

Instead of directly planting in here (not a fan of no drainage), I put a layer of expanded clay pebbles and placed a 4” pot of baby tears on top. That way I don’t have to worry about root rot and can take plant out and water as needed.

Bobbin 5" planter
Very nice. Careful when watering plant as the water can seep out where the hanging rope comes thru the holes. Very clean and modern looking.
