While this is a very rewarding plant that grows quickly and can grow big because it is a flowering plant it is a bit fussy and you will need to keep a closer eye on it than you would a lot of other plants. For light, you want a bright window that doesn't get too much direct sun. You don't want to waterlog this one so err on the side of underwatering. Stick your finger down to the knuckle into the soil every week, when you feel it dry, give it a drink. It stores water in its leaves during the winter so you can let it go a little bit drier than you would other plants. Pet friendly.
