When we made the first collection some years ago they were designed as cool tabletop decorations, similar to something we saw in Grandmas curio when we were kids and that we always wanted to sneak home with us. We love using them as coffee table accent pieces; we mix them in with our terrariums and planters for extra colour and texture amidst the foliage.

It wasn’t until a few collections in that we thought, "wouldn't it be cool if they hung on a wall!” The wall art design ideas are innumerable, there is so much room for interior decorating creativity. Go full gluttony and create a massive installation in the living room over your couch. Run a wave of them down your foyer hall. Take an old picture frame and use it to frame-in 3 or 5 pieces above your bed.

We love a dramatic glass flower vase and we designed our Big Caterpillar bud vase to make flower arranging fun and easy but still sophisticated and elegant.

Each of the 4 round clear glass balls are joined together in a row. There is no separation between the balls so you only need to fill one hole with water and you will fill the whole vase. Simply take any flowers or clippings from your garden, or snip out a few from a grocery store bouquet, plop them in the 1/2" hole at the top of each sphere and you've succeed at creating a super cool centrepiece arrangement. You can achieve a dramatic effect in the center of your table while still being able to look across the table and speak to your dinner guests without a large flower arrangement in the way.

Branching out from ceramics and clay for the first time, we weren’t sure where we were going to end up when we starting playing with iron as the medium for the Joe pots and saucers. We really wanted to achieve a modern and clean look that could also work in a more traditional environment. We used warm tones of copper and bronze contrasted against textures and subtle patterns in earthy colours like brown, green and mahogany and we hit the nail on head. Each pot has a matching saucer to give them a clean, polished look.

Your plants will feel sophisticated and cool in these planters. Just remember, if you keep your Joe’s in a consistently hot and sunny area make sure you check the soil for dryness a little more frequently than you would for a ceramic planter as the heat with dry it out quicker.

We wanted to replicate that one-of-kind feeling in a line of planters so we played around with a triple dip glazing process that ensures no two pots are alike. We made sure that the colour range of Yellow, Greens, Blues and Red looks cohesive so they match together, but still are very individual from each other.

While they are made of ceramic, we purposely left portions of some of the pots raw to add texture and to give them that natural vibe. There is a time and a place for them but we can’t lie, we’re over the look so we set out to design a cool alternative to the traditional terracotta pot and saucer. We went with the handmade ceramics approach and made the rims of each pot scalloped to give them an organic feel.  The wavy lines of the edges give the pots just enough movement to look interesting. We know the power of a classic white planter and how it to allows the spotlight to shine on your houseplant pals. A hanging planter that is functional but still sleek and modern was the goal in mind for designing Bobbin. We went with clay for the material because the matte finish would hit that contemporary vibe we were going for, and plants love a clay pot. We added a high gloss finish on the bottom, in a diagonal pattern, and were happy to see that doing so added a warmth to the look which makes it appealing to more than just the lover of minimalism. Bobbin works in a Cape Cod beach home just as easily, whether you go with a white on white or the charcoal black, the pale grey or the warm blue.

We wanted to make sure you didn’t have to think when you got home so it comes with everything you need to get it up and looking pretty: a metal O-Ring so you can hang it off a screw hook in your ceiling and waterproof rope so that you don’t have to worry about it getting wet and rotting and then falling from the skies.

While there is no drainage, a shallow layer of pebble in the bottom will ensure your plant gets the drainage it needs. Just picture your String of Pearls draping over the rim and down to the ground, gorgeous!
