These clay pebbles will become your new plant's best pal. They are porous and lightweight and can be used on the bottom layer of your planter before your top up the soil and it will increase aeration and drainage. For best results, rinse the pebbles before planting.

Each bag is 9"x5" and .55lbs 

Plant Only : 2.5" Sansevieria Boncellensis aka Starfish - Loves a brightly lit spot without direct sun but it's pretty forgiving and can handle a small amount of morning or evening sun. Water once a week to 10 days, let the soil dry out completely between waterings, better to under water than over water. Toxic to pets when eaten in large quantities.

Plant Only: 3.5" Pilea cadierei aka Aluminum Plant aka Friendship Plant - Loves bright, indirect light and will be a happy plant if you turn it every few days so that all sides get an equal amount of light. Let the plant dry out between waterings as it doesn't like wet soil and is prone to root rot, loves humidity. Non Toxic to pets.

Plant Only: 3” Aptenia Cordifolia aka Baby Sun Rose - This flowering succulent loves the bright, direct sun but will tolerate indirect light, you just won't have as much luck with flowering. When the soil is fully dry give it a good heavy watering without letting it sit in standing water. That said, it is pretty easy going and can handle irregular watering. Non-Toxic to pets.

Plant Only: 3” Dracaena Sanderiana Lemon Lime - Loves medium to bright indirect light, too much sun will scorch and pale the leaves, and too little light will cause leggy growth. Prefers a drier soil when the top 1" - 2" become dry give it a drink. Toxic to pets.

Plant Only: 3” Dracaena Compacta aka Janet Craig - Loves medium to bright indirect light and does not like long periods of direct sun, can tolerate lower light but water it less if the light is moderate. Water when the soil is dry to the touch, make sure the roots aren't too saturated, dust the leaves periodically. Toxic to pets.

Plant Only: 3” Tradescantia minima Bolivian aka Inch Plant - It's rare to see it but this plant is happy enough from full sun to partial shade. Water when the top 2" is dry and make sure to let the excess water drain away. Loves a nice haircut from time to time to stop it from getting leggy. Toxic to pets.

Plant Only : 5" Maranta Leuconeura aka Prayer Plant "Kim" - Loves bright, indirect light and is tolerant of lower light areas as long as there is good air flow, direct sun will scorch the leaves. Use room temperature water and keep the soil evenly moist, doesn't like to be too dry. Non Toxic to pets.

Plant Only: 3.5" Tradescantia Zebrina aka Inch Plant - Loves bright light and can handle some sun from an East facing window. If the leaves turn too green then the plant is asking for more light, is happy to go outside but no direct sun. When the top 1" of the soil is dry water thoroughly so you see the water drain out the bottom, don't let it sit in water but this guy can actually withstand an overwater. Will flower briefly in the spring in summer! Toxic to pets.

Plant Only : 3.5" Aloe Vera Barbadensis  -  The Aloe is a succulent at heart and as such it loves bright sunlight and when planting make sure you use cactus soil so that it drains well. While fish variety of piranha might love water the plant version does not. Let the soil fully dry out and then water deeply until it runs out the drainage hole. Toxic to pets.

Who has time to be going to hardware stores and lugging home on TTC a massive bag of dirt especially when you only need to use a few cups of it for your new planter?? Cactus forms a better basis for cactus roots (and other dry loving plants like succulents) than regular soil and keeps roots and stems from sitting in moisture, which can cause rot.

Plant Only : 5" Philodendron Green aka Heartleaf - A sweetheart of a plant, this is a Chive Staff all-time favourite. With classic green foliage and a delicate heart shaped leaf and trailing vines, not only is the Philo Green the prettiest plant we know, but it is also super easy to care for, and acts as an air purifier. It will thrive in medium indirect light but will also make do in low light. Let it dry out completely before you give it a drink, the leaves will look wilty if it's thirsty or yellow if it's drowning. Toxic to pets.
