I never thought I'd be the type of person to get excited about wall decor, but here I am, gushing over a ceramic flower like it's the second coming of Andy Warhol. It's blue, for starters - not your grandma's pastel blue, but a bold, unapologetic azure that screams, "Look at me, I'm art!" And boy, is it big. If flowers could have egos, this one would be writing a self-help book titled "How to Grow Your Confidence and Your Petals." The real kicker, though, is the glazing. Apparently, some artisan with too much time on their hands decided regular glazing wasn't good enough and invented a technique that makes this flower look like it's been dipped in magic. It's the kind of thing that makes you want to lick it, just to see if it tastes as special as it looks. Now, it's not a rose - thank goodness, because who needs another cliché? - but it could be. It's got that air of floral superiority, like it's the cool cousin roses wish they had. As I contemplate where to hang this cerulean behemoth in my living room, I can't help but think: if this is what passes for tasteful wall art decor these days, maybe I'm not as hopeless at adulting as I thought. Or maybe I am, and I've just found the perfect camouflage.
