Bolsk Glass Large Hanging Terrarium

Description
A hanging terrarium turns dead vertical space into a garden, and the Bolsk does it with handblown glass thick enough to survive the inevitable bump from a passing forehead. This large hanging terrarium ships in three forms: a sphere at 10.5 inches in diameter, a tube spanning 14 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall, and a table sphere minus the chain. Each has an open top wide enough to fit your hand inside for planting, which matters because sealed vessels trap moisture that rots succulent roots within weeks. Suspend the Bolsk from a ceiling hook, a curtain rod bracket, or a macrame hanger — the included chain supports considerable weight. Bright indirect light penetrates curved glass at every angle, distributing photons more evenly than any flat-sided vessel manages. The hanging glass terrarium format keeps fragile arrangements above pet level and out of toddler reach. Chive named this piece after a word someone found on a German restaurant menu, possibly attached to a sausage.
