Avocado Green Firecracker Succulent

Description
Succulent meaning tends toward resilience—self-sufficient, unhurried, built to last when conditions turn difficult. We knew that going in and made the Avocado Green Firecracker Succulent anyway, which should tell you something about our relationship with restraint. The form is deliberately spiked and asymmetrical, no two firecracker points glazed to match, because a plant with this name was never going to hold still without embarrassing itself. Avocado green was not the obvious colour choice; we simply happen to believe the obvious choices belong in someone else's catalogue. Mount it alone on a bare stretch of wall, cluster it with other pieces as a gallery arrangement grows, or set it on a shelf where it holds its position without water, light requirements, or the eventual soft fade that finishes every real succulent. Artisans shape each piece by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, founded in 2004. The Art Institute of Chicago carries Chive ceramic wall art in its museum shop.

Curated Collections
One glance at ceramic flowers and the mind starts spinning like a deranged mathematician at a pottery sale. Thirty-one million possibilities lurk in those delicate petals - enough combinations to drive even the most dedicated decorator to drink. Through countless installations, watching clients wobble between choices while clutching paint swatches, and muttering about feng shui, certain arrangements have emerged as clear winners. Here they are, tested and proven, saving countless hours of existential design crisis.
How to Hang
One discovers these flowers, each bearing a secret: a tiny keyhole nestled in the back, waiting for its destiny. The ritual feels almost predetermined - reaching into that dusty jar of orphaned screws, the ones squirreled away over countless home projects. Those odd bits of metal, collected like precious coins, finally finding their purpose. A quick twist of the drill, and there hangs beauty, supported by hardware whose previous life remains a mystery.

Whether it’s a single stem or a full-on bouquet, Chive turns your floral game from “meh” to masterpiece. Your flowers did the blooming—let us handle the flexing.
Chive Tips for Minimal Effort, and Maximum Style
What is My Birth Flower: November
The chrysanthemum is the November birth flower, cultivated across China and Japan for over two thousand years. Chive makes it in Buttercup Yellow ceramic — a glaze developed in the Chive Studio in Toronto, now in botanical garden collections across Canada and North America. Turns out the flower that survived two millennia is also the easiest gift you will give this year.
