Curate Your Indoor Landscape With These:

Designed to layer beautifully in any room. Choose a piece as your design anchor, then build your custom pottery collection with these complementary companions:

The 3" geometric porcelain plant pot is part of the Diamond line: four equal sides, clean angles, and a faceted form that catches light the way a round pot cannot. It is geometry on purpose, precise rather than loud, and it reads as a deliberate object from across a room instead of a default pulled off a shelf.

A precise four-sided form, with a center drainage hole and a matching saucer. At three inches it suits a single succulent, a cutting, or a small herb. The drainage hole keeps water moving instead of pooling at the roots, and the matching saucer keeps it off the surface underneath, so the pot works as well on a windowsill as it does on a shelf.

Four equal sides, clean angles, and nothing that requires an apology at Thanksgiving.

Potting Tips

  1. Repot in the evening.
  2. Wait 1–2 days after watering, then repot.
  3. Buy potting mix. Not backyard dirt.
  4. Move the top layer of soil from the old pot into the new one. It's a little ecosystem.
  5. Never go more than one inch bigger.
  6. Soil line sits an inch below the rim. Leca or small rocks at the bottom for drainage.

Pot Care instructions
  1. Dishwasher-safe. Can also be hand-washed with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
  2. Glazed pots are dipped and fired in the kiln — they are sealed, durable, and not looking for trouble. No special cleaning products required.
  3. For pots with saucers empty the saucer periodically. Standing water in the saucer defeats the purpose of having a drainage hole, which is a thing we feel strongly about.
  4. Not frost-safe. Designed for indoor use and covered outdoor temperate weather use. Freezing temperatures are not recommended.

Geometry, on Purpose

Before 3D printers, texture in this studio came from whatever crude object was lying around: bubble wrap, a basket, the bottom of someone's shoe on a bad day. Then 3D printing arrived and the dark ages ended overnight. Suddenly we could shape almost anything, and the first thing one of us tried was a cast of a family member's face. It was not appreciated. It still gets brought up.

The Diamond, by comparison, is geometry: clean, four equal sides, equal angles, nothing that requires an apology at a holiday dinner. Some things we make because the technology finally allows it. We make the Diamond because, unlike that first experiment, everyone agrees it should exist, and because a precise faceted form does something to light that a round pot simply cannot.

Underneath the geometry it is a working pot: porcelain with a centre drainage hole and a matching saucer, so the faceted form keeps a plant alive as competently as it holds a shelf. Precision on the outside means nothing if the inside drowns the roots, so the drainage is not decorative.

On a shelf the facets do something a round pot cannot, catching small planes of light at slightly different angles so the form reads as deliberate from across the room. It earns its place by being precise rather than loud, which is the only kind of attention we trust a pot to ask for, and very nearly the only kind we are any good at making.

Potting a plant with Chive

  1. It's best to repot your plant in the evening. Trust us, we know.
  2. Repot 1–2 days after watering — keeps the same rhythm going and won't shock it.
  3. Potting soil is not the dirt from your backyard. Go buy good, nutrient-rich soil.
  4. The top layer of soil in your current pot should be the top layer in the new pot too. It's a little ecosystem your plant likes.
  5. Never go more than one inch bigger than your existing pot. "It'll grow into it" is not correct, and you will kill it.
  6. Keep the soil line about an inch below the top of the pot. Add some leca or small rocks to the bottom for better aeration.

The Ultimate Repotting Guide

For those who have killed a plant. Or several. Or, frankly, many.

Before you put a plant into your new pot, you have to get it out of the nursery pot — a process that ends badly more often than any gardening influencer will admit. We wrote a full guide: when to repot (early spring, and not when you're feeling impulsive in October), which soil to use, how to tell your plant is root-bound, and how to avoid the three mistakes that kill perfectly healthy plants within a week of a well-intentioned repotting.

The Diamond Line, by Size

The Diamond 3" is rarely an only child, and its siblings share the silhouette while splitting the difference on size from a cutting to a corner plant.

Drainage Is the Whole Point

The Diamond 3" opens onto a wider plant pot collection, where every piece is made to the same standard and sized for a different plant.

Water It Like You Mean It

The Diamond 3" drains well, but watering still decides everything, so a real watering can or mister makes the difference, and ours look the part on a counter.
