Build Your Floral Wall With These:

Designed to cluster naturally, like a wild garden. Choose a flower as your design anchor, then grow your custom floral wall with these companions:

Office wall art has a narrow brief: it should make the room look like serious thinking happens there, even on the days it does not. New Haven is seven ceramic flowers in avocado green, caramel, dewberry, blush pink, and oatmeal, named for the university town whose Gothic stone courtyards have been making young people feel underprepared for centuries. The palette runs from the deep greens of the Avocado Green Rozella Peony and Jungle Green Pompom Mum through the warm Caramel Charm Peony, then settles on Dewberry Camellia and Blush Pink Star Dahlia before the paler Oatmeal Solar Carnation and the Orange Yellow Gay Paree Peony finish the run. Each bloom is shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, and its reactive glaze means no two read exactly alike under a desk lamp. All seven arrive individually boxed, keyholes already set into the back. Hang the set behind a desk or above a bookshelf, and the room starts to look like it has read more than it has.

How to hang & display

Wall hanging

Works on drywall, plaster, or wood panelling. Drive a small screw at a slight upward angle, leaving the head proud of the wall. Slide the keyhole slot on the back over the screw head, adjust to level. Sits flush — no visible hardware.

No stud? No problem. A drywall anchor rated for the weight works fine.

Displaying a collection

Lay everything out on the floor first. Start with your anchor piece, build outward. Keep 2–3 inches between each piece and aim for the centre of the whole arrangement to land around eye level. Use painter's tape on the wall to map positions before committing to any screws.

Table & shelf display: Equally beautiful propped on a shelf, mantle, or side table. Pair with books, candles, or a small pot.

What flowers are included?

Our design team picked these. It took longer than it should have — someone always has opinions about petal shapes, and at least one person was caught quietly swapping out someone else's color choices. What's below is what made it through. Click any name for dimensions, color detail, and close-ups of the individual piece.

The Story Behind This Collection

New Haven belongs to a small group of our sets named for university towns, the places with ivy on the walls and more tweed per capita than anywhere reasonable. I have never studied in one. I have, however, owned a cardigan with leather elbow patches, which I wore to a parent-teacher interview as though it might count for something. The cardigan did not help, but the intent was sincere. This set is built for that same aspiration. Seven flowers, chosen to look like they came with the building. Avocado Green Rozella Peony and Jungle Green Pompom Mum supply the greens of an old campus lawn in late September. Caramel Charm Peony brings the colour of a leather armchair that has hosted a great many arguments about Kant. Dewberry Camellia is the deep berry tone of a library carpet nobody has replaced since the seventies. Blush Pink Star Dahlia softens things, the way a single framed postcard softens a wall of textbooks. Oatmeal Solar Carnation keeps the palette honest, and the Orange Yellow Gay Paree Peony adds the warm note of a reading lamp left on past midnight. Together they make a wall that suggests you are halfway through a very long book. Whether you are is your own business.

How to hang ceramic wall flowers?

One screw. No contractors. No drama.

One screw. One keyhole on the back. Ninety seconds and it's on the wall. The video shows exactly how it happens — no special hardware, no second holes, no contractor on speed dial. Whether you're hanging one piece or planning a full gallery wall, the hanging guide walks you through both.

Designed to Share the Same Room

The Japan Collection

New Haven's muted greens and browns sit comfortably beside our Japan range, which leans into a quiet, earthy palette of moss, oatmeal, deep berry and stone that suits anyone decorating for a dark academia mood. Same handmade ceramic, same reactive glazes, a slightly calmer temperament. Explore the Japan Collection.

The English Garden Collection

For a brighter counterpoint, our English Garden range trades the library for the herbaceous border, with chartreuse, cottage pastels and soft greens across more than fifty ceramic blooms. It pairs well with New Haven if your study opens onto a sunnier room. Browse the English Garden Collection.

Grow Something Real

Ceramic flowers ask nothing of you. Herbs ask a little more, which is part of their charm. Shido Seeds covers the living side of the room, and rosemary is a fitting place to start for anyone who keeps books near a sunny window. Try Rosemary seeds and see whether the windowsill becomes a second shelf.

About Chive Studio

Chive started making ceramic flowers in 2004, and the studio has spent the years since learning that people rarely want just one. Curated sets grew out of that. Customers kept asking us to choose the flowers for them, which is flattering until you realize it means agreeing among ourselves. Every set starts as a palette pinned to the studio wall, then gets argued down to the blooms that belong together. New Haven is the version for a study or home office: greens and browns with a few warm notes, quiet enough to work beside and interesting enough to look up at between paragraphs. Each piece is shaped by hand at Chive Ceramics Studio, glazed, and boxed on its own, so the set arrives ready to hang. It took us longer to choose than it will take you to install.

Frequently asked questions

How many pieces come in the New Haven curated set?

The New Haven curated set includes seven ceramic flowers: three peonies in avocado green, caramel and orange yellow, plus a pompom mum, a camellia, a dahlia and a carnation. Every piece ships in its own Chive box, keyhole already set into the back. Seven was the number that let the greens and browns breathe without anyone feeling crowded, including the peonies, who outnumber everyone.

What is a good office wall art ceramic flower set?

A good office wall art choice keeps you company without demanding attention, and New Haven's greens, caramel and dewberry were picked with exactly that in mind. Ceramic does not curl at the corners, fade into a sad beige or ask to be watered. I find it reassuring to look up from a spreadsheet and see something that clearly has its life together.

What colours are in the New Haven ceramic flower collection?

The New Haven ceramic flower collection runs through avocado green, jungle green, caramel, dewberry, blush pink, oatmeal and orange yellow. Reactive glazes mean each piece shifts slightly with the light, so the caramel looks warmer in the evening and the greens look deeper on a grey afternoon. It is a palette for rooms where people sit for a long time.

How do I arrange the New Haven set on my wall?

Arrange the New Haven set by placing the Avocado Green Rozella Peony or Dewberry Camellia at the centre, then working outward in a loose cluster. Keep the oatmeal and blush pieces apart so the paler tones spread across the arrangement. Lay everything out on the floor first. It spares the wall a few unnecessary holes, and spares you from explaining them.

Is the New Haven curated collection easy to hang?

The New Haven curated collection is easy to hang: each flower has a keyhole recess that slips over a single screw in standard drywall. Seven flowers, seven screws, and a pencil for marking. The hardest part is deciding where the first one goes. After that, the set more or less tells you where it wants the rest.

How do I care for the New Haven ceramic flowers?

Caring for the New Haven ceramic flowers takes a soft dry cloth and very little else. Their colourfast, waterproof finish means a damp cloth handles anything stubborn. There is no watering, no repotting and no guilt. In a home office, that already puts them well ahead of the fern most of us are slowly letting down.

Can I buy the New Haven flowers individually or as a set?

You can buy the New Haven flowers individually, since each bloom also has its own product page. The set exists because these seven were chosen to work together, and pulling one out is a bit like borrowing a single volume from an encyclopedia. Perfectly allowed. Just know the others will notice it is gone.

What rooms suit the New Haven ceramic flower set best?

The New Haven ceramic flower set suits a home office, a study or a reading corner, anywhere the furniture leans toward wood and leather. The greens and caramel also work in a bedroom with dark walls. Wherever it goes, it makes the room feel a little more scholarly. Whether the reading follows is between you and your nightstand.
