Colourful wall art starts with a palette decision, and this page is built for it: every handmade ceramic wall flower Chive makes, sorted by colour — blue, green, pink, warm yellow-orange-red, brown and beige, grey and white. Each glaze was developed to coordinate with every other, so combinations work by design. Priced in Canadian dollars. Ships across Canada from our Toronto studio.

Shopping ceramic flowers by colour is the fastest route from a room you already have to a wall that looks finished. Most people do not start with a flower species; they start with a wall colour, a sofa, or a tile they cannot change. The colour navigation answers that: blue runs powder through navy, green runs sage through deep botanical, pink runs blush through rose, the warm range covers yellow through red, and the neutral ranges cover brown, beige, grey, and white.

The entire range was developed as one coordinated colour system. Anything from one colour section sits comfortably beside anything from another, which is why mixed-colour gallery walls built from this page tend to look deliberate rather than collected. Each flower is shaped by hand and kiln-fired, so the glaze is permanent — the colour you choose is the colour it stays. If you know the collection you want instead of the colour, the collection pages are the faster route; both end at the same wall.

Colourful home decor

Colourful home decor fails most often at the commitment stage — a red sofa is a decision you live with, a red ceramic flower is a decision you can move with one screw. That is the practical argument for building colour into a room through wall objects: full saturation, zero square footage, reversible in ninety seconds. Start with two or three glazes that answer something already in the room and let the wall carry the colour story.

Dopamine decor

Dopamine decor is the name the internet gave to a very old idea: rooms feel better when something in them is unreasonably cheerful. A saturated ceramic bloom on a plain wall does this job full-time and never wilts on you. The trend cycles; the mechanism doesn’t. If maximal colour is the goal, mix the warm range against blue or green. If one joyful object is the goal, one six-inch flower in the loudest glaze you can defend is enough.

Chive Studio has designed ceramic wall flowers in Toronto since 2004, and colour is where the work travels: the same kiln-fired glazes on this page are stocked by 200+ institutions worldwide, including the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe — dedicated to the painter who made flower colour monumental. Ships across Canada from our Toronto studio. Exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show since 2013; twice awarded the 5-star booth award — only two are given each year.

Frequently asked questions about ceramic flowers by color

How does the wall-mounting system work?

One small screw. Every flower has a keyhole slot on the back; set the screw, hang the flower, done in about ninety seconds. The screw and anchor are in the box. Moving one later means filling a hole smaller than a grain of rice.

Can colours from different Chive collections be mixed on one wall?

Yes — that is the point of the colour system. Every glaze in the range was developed to coordinate with every other, so a France pink beside a Japan navy beside an English Garden green reads as one arrangement, not three purchases. Mixing across collections is how most customer walls are actually built.

What is rainbow wall art that doesn’t look like a nursery?

Rainbow wall art works in adult rooms when the colours are dimensional objects rather than a printed arc. A run of ceramic flowers — one from each colour family, spaced in a line or loose grid — delivers the full spectrum with texture and shadow instead of poster flatness. Keep the wall neutral and let the glazes do the talking.

How do you choose a colour when the room is mostly neutral?

Pick the undertone, not the colour. Warm neutrals — oatmeal walls, oak floors — take the brown-beige and warm ranges naturally. Cool neutrals — grey, white, black metal — take blue, green, and the grey-white range. One saturated accent against a neutral base is the lowest-risk, highest-return move on this page.

Where do you ship wall art in Canada?

Across Canada, from our Toronto studio, in CAD. Every flower ships in gift-ready packaging that needs nothing added — box, protective nest, and hardware inside — so it can go straight from the courier to the person it is for. Toronto and GTA orders can also be picked up at the studio, 702 Queen St. West. We have watched people unwrap these in the shop and the box gets almost as much comment as the flower, which we have decided to take as a compliment.

Where do Chive’s colourful ceramic flowers end up in the world?

In more than 200 galleries, museum shops, and botanical institutions worldwide, including the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe. Also, reportedly, in a surprising number of bathrooms, which institutions never mention in their orders but customers mention constantly. Fired ceramic does not care about humidity. It barely cares about anything. It is the most low-maintenance colourful thing you will ever own, including the succulent you already killed.

Do the glazes fade in sunlight?

No. The colour is a kiln-fired glaze fused to the ceramic at high temperature, not a surface paint. Direct sun, bathroom steam, and kitchen splatter leave it unchanged — the shade you hang is the shade it stays, indefinitely. Glaze chemistry is the same across every colour family on this page, so a mixed-colour arrangement ages — which is to say, doesn’t — at one uniform rate.

How is colourful wall art from Chive organized on this page?

By colour family, six ways: blue, green, pink, yellow-orange-red, brown-beige, and grey-white. Each family links to its own page with every design in that range. Start from the colour your room already voted for, and the rest of the decision gets much smaller.
