Ceramic Flower Flower Pink 6

I never imagined I'd find myself contemplating the merits of a ceramic wall flower, yet here I was, staring at a pink rose no bigger than a baseball, wondering if this was what passed for sophistication these days. My sister, ever the trendsetter, had proudly mounted this tiny abomination on her living room wall. "It's the June birth flower," she proclaimed, as if that explained everything. I nodded, feigning interest while secretly wondering if being born in June was punishment enough without having to display this porcelain parasite. "Don't you think it's a bit... small?" I ventured, squinting at the wall art decor that seemed more suited for a dollhouse than a human dwelling. She looked at me as if I'd just suggested we redecorate with macaroni art. "It's ceramic art," she said, her tone implying that size was irrelevant when it came to culture. I bit back a comment about how it looked less like art and more like something you'd find stuck to the bottom of a thrift store vase. But in the realm of wall decor, my opinion clearly held as much weight as the minuscule yellow rose. As she prattled on about the virtues of her diminutive floral friend, I couldn't help but wonder if this was what interior designers meant when they talked about "less is more." If so, I was suddenly very grateful for my cluttered, flower-free walls at home.
