A ceramic kenzan flower frog solves the one problem every cut-flower arrangement has: stems that lean, drift, or slump sideways by hour two. Pebble pairs a glazed ceramic dish with a built-in pin base, so stems press in and hold exactly where you put them, whatever the angle. It's 4 inches across and 2.5 inches tall, small enough for a windowsill, heavy enough to stay put once it's loaded. Cut stems shorter than you think you should, set them on the pins, and the shorter path pulls water up faster — flowers arranged this way tend to outlast the same stems dropped loose in a tall vase. No drainage hole here; it's built to hold water, not soil, though it moonlights fine as a small succulent dish between arrangements. Comes glazed in orange, silver, or white. It's a strange little object to explain and an easy one to use — which is usually the sign a design got something right.

We’re working on it—but until then, no cross-country road trips for your new Monstera.

Bottom line? If it’s a planter, watering can, or decor gem (aka our fabulous Ceramic Flowers), we’ll get it to you—fast and fabulous. If it’s a plant, make sure you’re local. Our delivery policy keeps your green goodies safe, stylish, and happy, just the way we like it.

A kenzan holds stems in water rather than soil, which makes it a natural companion to Chive's vase collection rather than anything built around potted, rooted plants.

Pots So Good, Even Your Plants Will Thank You

A kenzan is really just a heavy base studded with pins, designed to hold cut stems upright in shallow water without a vase's help — the tool most ikebana arrangements actually depend on, hidden entirely once the flowers go in. Ceramic makes an unusual choice for the base, since most kenzan run metal specifically for the weight, but a dense ceramic disc turns out to do the same job at four inches across without needing lead or iron to stay put once stems start pulling at odd angles. The pins themselves stay metal, set into the fired ceramic base rather than moulded into a single piece, which lets the two materials each do the job they're actually suited for — ceramic for weight and a finished surface, metal for pins that need to hold an edge. At two and a half inches tall, it disappears into almost any shallow dish or bowl once submerged, which is the whole point of the design. Nobody's supposed to notice the kenzan itself. They're supposed to notice the arrangement it's quietly holding in place. Most people only ever encounter one once, tucked at the bottom of a bowl they've already filled with water and stems, never actually seeing the piece doing the work until an arrangement gets taken apart and rebuilt.

Feed Your Plants Like You Actually Know What You’re Doing

Your plants called—they're tired of your "just water and hope" approach. Give them verteRx, the premium plant food packed with vitamins and growth boosters. Stronger roots, lusher leaves, and fewer judgmental stares from your fiddle-leaf fig. Because even plants deserve proper nutrition (unlike your diet).

Shido Seeds Almost Too Pretty to Plant

Let’s be honest—our Shido Seeds packaging is almost too pretty to open. (But go ahead, your garden will thank you.) Inside each artfully designed packet, you’ll find top-quality seeds ready to grow into breathtaking flowers and delicious veggies. Sure, your garden will be stunning, but will it outshine the packaging? That’s a tough call.

30-Day Chive Return

Changed your mind? No problem. You’ve got 30 days to return it—no questions asked (okay, maybeonejudgment-free eyebrow raise). Just send it back in new condition and we’ll refund you. Final sale items are forever, like bad tattoos. Questions? Hit us up—we don’t bite (unless provoked).
